AAA says traveling by air is not a bad option this year. They say rates for hotels and flights are significantly cheaper here in the U.S. We're off to a smooth start at both LaGuardia and JFK with virtually no delays - just a few at each airport.
If you're traveling by car, gas prices are also lower than last labor day weekend. The average price for regular gas today in New York City is $3.18, that's 28 cents cheaper than this time last year.
