Pizza Hut is closing hundreds of locations across the country because of declining sales.

The parent company, Yum Brands, says it’s going to shut down 250 stores that are underperforming.

That's about 3% of the restaurant chain's locations nationwide.

Pizza Hut has struggled in recent years, especially against its biggest rival Domino's.

Specific locations that will close have not yet been announced.

There are eight Pizza Huts on Long Island.
