This morning, the iconic Peter Pan Diner will hold its grand opening and officially welcome back customers for the first time since a fire devastated the eatery 20 months ago.
"We rebuilt it stronger, with the same heart and soul that made people love it in the first place," Peter Pan Diner owner Peter Lentzeres told News 12. "This diner isn't just a restaurant, it's a place where the community, family and friends gather, and we're proud to finally welcome everyone back."
Yesterday, they held a soft opening to get staff back up to speed.
Word of the fire traveled fast throughout the community who remembered their beloved diner fondly.
Today, they get a fresh start.
