Police say an 81-year-old man was killed during a fire at an apartment building in Borough Park on Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the fifth-floor blaze at 1215 47th St. just before 2:45 p.m.

Citizen app footage shows FDNY crews actively battling the blaze while a crowd of people watched from below.

Fire crews found the man unconscious and unresponsive, according to authorities. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The man's identity has not been released.
