Police say a person is dead after being struck by a school bus in a hit-and-run in Bath Beach.

Emergency personnel responded to a 911 call for a pedestrian struck at 23rd Avenue and Bath Avenue just after 3 p.m. Thursday. Authorities say the bus struck an unidentified female and did not remain on the scene.

EMS took the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
