Peekskill Councilman Ramon Fernandez is facing calls for resignation for allegedly using his influence to dismiss multiple traffic violations for a family friend in 2018.

According to the State's Commission on Judicial Conduct, Fernandez's intervention led to the tickets being dismissed off the record.

The Peekskill Common Council has referred the case to the Board of Ethics to investigate potential abuse of power.
