Police say a vehicle struck a pedestrian Saturday evening in Hicksville.

Detectives say it happened on Walnut Lane and Jerusalem Avenue just after 7:30 p.m.

The circumstances that led to the incident, the victim's gender, age and extent of their injuries were not immediately known as of Saturday night.
