Nassau police say a male pedestrian was struck by a truck on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh.

They say it happened just after 12:30 p.m. between the Sunrise Highway and Morris Gate.

As a result, the eastbound side of the highway is closed between Oakland Avenue and Morris Gate.

Police say the victim is conscious, and emergency crews are on scene.

Drivers should expect delays while police investigate.
