Benji, a scruffy, terrier mix, is an immediate friend to everyone he meets.
Estimated to be somewhere between one and 3 years old, Benji was rescued from the streets of North Jerey and was shy and shutdown when he was first taken in by Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption. Since his arrival, however, this wire-haired charmer has blossomed thanks to the care he received in a foster home.
"He loves to run around the yard and go on walks. He loves sunshine and a nice warm day," BFDAAA said on their website. "He loves to be around his foster mom and would love to be doted on all day. His favorite spot is a couch or chair with a fluffy blanket to bury his head in."
Benji has a sweet and spunky disposition. He's very motivated by treats and knows some basic commands. He's also great on a leash. Volunteers at the rescue say he currently lives with other foster dogs and is well-behaved, but they believe he would really thrive with an adult family, or with a family that has older children. He would also prefer to be the only pet in the home if possible.
Benji is vaccinated, neutered and ready to find a "furever" family.
