The city of Paterson held its annual Mother’s Day brunch on Thursday at the Great Falls Center.
This event honored and showed appreciation to the mothers who work hard for the families every day.
Everyone in the community was invited.
The director of community engagements described this as an opportunity to show mother’s their efforts don’t go unnoticed and shine a spotlight on the mothers who aren’t able to spend Mother’s Day with their children.
"For some of them, they have children who are in town but there are some that don't. So we don't want anyone to miss out on Mother's Day celebration. So went through the entire city it's open to everyone to come and join us today " stated by Della McCall, director of community engagements.
“We try to accommodate our seniors as best as we can. Some of them are widows as well so they may not have anyone," said Mayor Andre Sayegh.
As Mother’s Day Sunday approaches, communities and cities like Paterson are ensuring their residents are not forgotten as many come together and celebrate the day in advance.
