A Passaic man who is wanted for murder was arrested in North Carolina.

Police received a call about a stabbing in Passaic on March 16.

When they arrived, they found Daniela Ghafour with multiple stab wounds.

She was transported to the hospital where she later died.

The murder investigation led police to identify Ernest Lawrence as the suspect connected to the stabbing.

He was later found in North Carolina and was extradited to New Jersey on March 26.

Lawerence is currently charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Lawrence is currently in custody and awaits his first appearance at central judicial processing.
