State lawmakers and city officials gathered Monday to celebrate a major investment.
Pacific House, which provides emergency housing and support services for people in need, will receive $70,000 in new state funding this year and next.
Officials say the funding will help strengthen the shelter’s services, expand outreach and ensure residents in crisis have access to consistent support.
Representatives noted that the investment comes at a time when shelters across Connecticut are facing growing demand and rising operational costs.
Leaders emphasized that the money is part of a larger statewide effort to reduce homelessness and partner with local organizations working on the front lines.
For Pacific House, they say, the support will help the shelter continue its mission of providing safety and a path forward for those who need it most.
Pacific House is located at 597 Pacific St. in Stamford.
