A Pennsylvania man is facing arson charges in New Jersey after authorities say he deliberately set fire to clothing inside a Residence Inn in East Rutherford. Investigators say 34-year-old Sean McDermott, a guest at the hotel, placed clothing inside a pot on an electric stove, turned the stove on, and then left the room, intentionally attempting to start a fire. McDermott was later found in Manhattan, where he was arrested.
