An early morning crash involving a tractor-trailer snarled traffic in East Brunswick just before the Monday morning commute. According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the crash occurred at about 4:47 a.m. A tractor-trailer overturned on the southbound exit ramp from the New Jersey Turnpike to Route 18. The crash, which happened at Exit 9 on the Turnpike, prompted first responders to initially shut down all lanes leading to the Route 18 ramp. Police, NJDOT and other emergency crews responded to the scene. There is no word yet on any injuries, the cause of the crash or how long the lanes will remain closed. This is a developing story.
