The clock is ticking on a massive unclaimed lottery prize in Connecticut.
A winning Cash 5 lotto ticket was sold at East Main Convenience store in Stamford back in August, but the winner has yet to come forward.
They had six months to claim the $100K prize, but the Feb. 9 deadline is now less than two weeks away.
"Two weeks is a short time," Stamford resident Willy Geraldo says. "You better run, otherwise, you’re going to lose your money!"
East Main Convenience is urging the winner to come forward because the store also gets money for selling a winning lottery ticket over $10,000.
“My message is 'hey buddy, cash the ticket,'" Mak Shaikh says. "That’s your lucky store, and you can tell people this is the store where you got the winning ticket."
The winner must claim the prize at Connecticut Lottery headquarters in Wallingford, CT.
The Connecticut lottery calls the situation “out of the ordinary."
The winning numbers for the ticket are 08, 10, 11, 23 and 34.
