A member of the original Village People is speaking out against harassment he claims to be receiving from fans due to a perceived connection to President Donald Trump.
"The new president made Village People great again – however the backlash I received the day after my birthday – there was no afterglow," says Felipe Rose.
The performer says the group was disbanded back in 2017 and reformed with a cast of new performers. Even though Rose hasn't been part of the group since the shake-up, he says fans of the original lineup are harassing him and believing he is still part of the group – sending him unsolicited letters in his mail, online texts and even phone calls.
