        Officials: Wharton man charged with producing and possessing child porn

        A Wharton man is charged has been charged with producing and possessing child pornography.
        Investigators say 23-year-old Carlos Xavier Urbina-Guiterrez, who also went by Luis Urbina-Guiterrez, was posing online as a high school student in Morris County in 2023. Urbina-Guiterrez allegedly used social media to talk to male teens who were high school students.
        Officials say Urbina-Guiterrez used social media to solicit one minor to engage in sexually explicit behavior during a video call on Christmas in 2023.
        Urbina-Guiterrez appeared before the U.S. District Court for New Jersey in Camden on Tuesday, where he was charged with possessing and producing child pornography and enticing a minor to produce child pornography.
