Water service was restored Saturday night in Norwalk after a water main had to be shut off for emergency work, which caused some residents to experience low pressure or no water earlier in the day.
The Norwalk First Taxing District and Water Department says service restored around 5 p.m.
The main was located on Main Avenue.
Customers around the West Rock Tank experienced low water pressure.
Customers who live near Park Street, Foxboro Drive, Sier Hill Road and Oakwood Avenue were without water for several hours.
Officials say customers who experience cloudy or discolored water once service is restored should flush their cold water lines until the water runs clear.
Anyone with questions can contact the department's customer service center at 1-203-847-7387.
