Officials say that more than 135 pounds of illegal marijuana have been seized from eight Stamford smoke shops.
The Stamford Police Department, state and local officials say the raids to the smoke shops took place in December.
They say the smoke shops were found violating numerous criminal and civil statutes, including illegal drug sales, underage sales, labor violations and tax violations.
Officials say that investigators also uncovered 4,826 units of unlawful and unregulated products, including marijuana flower and illegal high-THC edibles in youth-attractive snack and candy packaging.
