        Officials: Fire rips through high rise building in Melrose; lithium-ion battery found

        A fire ripped through a home on a high rise building at 3073 Park Ave. in Melrose overnight.
        Fire officials were seen responding, and people were seen rolled out on stretchers.
        The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A hazmat bin was seen being hauled into the building. Hazmat bins are normally used to store flammable or corrosive material, such as lithium-ion batteries. As of Jan. 30, there have been 12 fires and 3 injuries due to lithium-ion batteries.
