Another Thanksgiving holiday means another record period for American travel.
Nearly 82 million Americans are expected to travel this week for the holiday, according to AAA.
The majority will be driving, experts predict, with about 6 million taking to the skies. The number of people taking domestic flights this week is expected to be up 2% compared to last year, the travel service said.

While MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma wasn't directly affected by the flight reductions, about half a dozen airport destinations people flew into were.
This holiday travel season comes after U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy launched his 'civility campaign,' calling on passengers to behave better at the airport. He's asking people to dress up and ditch the pajamas and show more respect to fellow passengers, pilots and airline staff.
The move comes after a 400% increase in the number of in-flight outbursts, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
AAA says the worst time to drive today is between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
