A small brushfire broke out Thursday in Coram, officials say.
It happened off Route 112 north of Granny Road at around 11 a.m.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to around a quarter of an acre.
The fire chief says it took around 90 minutes to put the fire out.
The brushfire comes as parts of Long Island are now under severe drought.
