Three people were injured, including an officer, in a Bed-Stuy police-involved shooting.

Sources say police responded to a call of shots fired inside a home. When police arrived, they encountered a man with a firearm.

A hostage negotiation team was called to the scene and engaged with the man for two hours. Sources say that the man fired at officers first. One of them was hit in the leg but is expected to be OK.

Officers fired back and the man is now in critical condition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull.

The FDNY says they treated another individual on scene for minor injuries.

Police have released an alert on X telling people to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
