Off-duty Rahway police officer and family escape multi-alarm house fire in Howell
An off-duty Rahway police officer, his wife and their 9-month-old daughter were able to safely escape multi-alarm house fire Saturday afternoon in Howell, according to authorities.
First responders arrived at 18 Dutch Valley Rd. just before 2 p.m. to find heavy fire conditions at multiple levels of the home. Crews worked to contain the fire while ensuring the safety of both residents and emergency personnel.
No injuries were reported among the family.
Firefighters remained on scene working to bring the situation under control, while officials continued to assess the damage.
