Off-duty firefighter among those injured in Newark blaze
Newark firefighters responded to a fire along Weequahic Avenue just before 7 a.m.
The fire was brought under control by 7:26 a.m., according to fire officials.
Officials said two adults were injured, and one child was taken to a hospital. An off-duty firefighter was also injured and transported to a local hospital.
The American Red Cross said it has been notified of the fire and plans to meet with affected families to provide emergency assistance.
