The NYPD helped to rescue a man who suffered a medical emergency while on a boat near Sandy Hook.
Officials say the incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Nov. 9. They say Air Sea Rescue No. 11 was dispatched via helicopter to help with the 24-year-old who was having some sort of emergency about 150 yards offshore.
The NYPD says divers were deployed and boarded the boat to provide medical attention. That man was then put into a rescue basket and lifted onto the helicopter.
The man was taken to Staten Island University Hospital to be checked out and was listed in stable condition.
        No other injuries were reported.
