A woman found inside a Wakefield building with stab wounds was pronounced dead on Saturday, according to police.
Authorities say they discovered the 40-year-old victim with wounds to her chest and right arm at 667 East 232 St. She was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Police sources say the death stemmed from a domestic dispute. They say sibling to one of the people involved in the fight called the police.
Neighbors have been coming in and out of this building all morning, not surprised by the news. News 12 spoke with one woman who said the 40-year-old woman was a girlfriend to the man who stabbed her.
Graham lives in the building and he says this is not the first time violence has taken over this building.
“One or two years ago, there was a shooting…I do not think this is a safe building,” he says.
No arrests have been made as of Sunday morning.
