A 45-year-old woman was struck by a car while crossing an intersection early Saturday morning in Kensington, according to police.

Authorities say a 71-year-old man was driving on Avenue C and Ocean Parkway when he struck the victim.

She was hospitalized and remains in critical condition.

Police say the driver remained at the scene of the accident.
