Police are searching for a man after a driver crashed into a parked car and was then shot in the leg.
Authorities were called at 10:16 p.m. Thursday night to Pennsylvania Avenue near Hegeman Avenue in East New York.
Police said a 34-year-old man hit an unoccupied parked car then got into an argument another man.
Things escalated and police said the man, in his 60s, fired shots at the driver who was hit in the leg.
Officials say the victim was shot once in each leg and the person who shot him may not be the owner of the parked car.
The victim went to Brookdale Hospital were he is in stable condition.
This shooting ended a historic streak of no shooting victims across our city.
It happened just minutes after the NYPD posted on X:
Police are still searching for the gunman who was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a blue fleece.
