NYPD detective from Plainview shot in friendly fire incident identified

Kevin Dubuisson was arraigned on a 16-count criminal complaint on Sunday, including additional charges for assault on a police officer.

Prosecutors have identified the NYPD detective from Nassau County shot by friendly fire during an alleged carjacking spree in Queens.
The Queens District Attorney’s Office says Det. Corey Fisher and his partner were on duty but not in uniform when they saw Kevin Dubuisson run into a stolen car with a crowbar on Friday in Queens.
When uniformed officers arrived, they fired, shooting Det. Fisher in the right hand and left leg.
Det. Fisher also broke his leg. He is expected to recover.
Dubuisson was arraigned on a 16-count criminal complaint on Sunday, including additional charges for assault on a police officer.
Dubuisson is being held without bail.
