A 41-year-old man was shot in the arm Friday afternoon, just blocks away from two playgrounds in Bushwick.
The shooting happened at Bushwick and Flushing avenues around 2 p.m. Police were back on the scene on Saturday. A hardware store owner told News 12 that they were looking for surveillance footage.
They say the victim walked himself into Woodhull Hospital.
Police did not detail what led up to the shooting or release any information about suspects.
There has been a decrease in shooting victims and incidents this year compared to 2023, according to NYPD data. In 2023, there were 15 shooting victims. In 2024, there has been six.
