NYPD detectives say a 3-year-old boy who was dropped off at Downstate Hospital in Prospect Lefferts Gardens on Sunday morning was pronounced dead. Police say that the child had visible bruising. They also say two individuals dropped off the child and then left in a car. The relationship between the two individuals and the child was not immediately clear as of Sunday night. Police say the hospital notified them about the death. News 12 spoke with people in the area like Dominique Delone who say the details are disturbing. “I am a mother myself. Toimagine my child deceased and just dropping them off not knowing what has taken place or what has occurred, it’s heart breaking," Delone said. Police say a medical examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests had been made as of Sunday night.
