        NYPD: 24-year-old fatally stabbed in Bushwick; 5 suspects at large

        A police source tells News 12 the victim was likely chased by a group of men from Central Avenue, between Halsey and Eldert Street, which is about 700 feet away from where the stabbing occurred.

        The NYPD is investigating a stabbing that took place on Thursday afternoon in Bushwick which left a 24-year-old man dead.
        A police source tells News 12 the victim was likely chased by a group of men from Central Avenue, between Halsey and Eldert Street, which is about 700 feet away from where the stabbing occurred.
        The victim was found in front of 1123 Halsey St. with a stab wound to the chest.
        Police say he was taken to Wyckoff Height Medical Center and was pronounced deceased.
        A resident for over 22 years tells News 12 she was in shock at the incident.
        “Everyone has a gun, a knife; nobody expresses themselves," she said. "I’m not saying if something is wrong don’t express yourself and that you’re frustrated, but do we have to resort to violence?”
        Police say they are searching for a group of five to six men, all wearing dark-colored clothing.
