        NYC Parks helps people recycle holiday trees in Brooklyn

        Mulchfest lasts until Jan. 12, and that weekend people can take home their own bag of mulch when they return a tree.

        Mulchfest is here and Brooklyn residents can recycle their holiday trees at two dozen locations throughout the borough.
        Some of the locations include:
        People can also leave their holiday trees outside alongside their recycling.

        NYC Parks says Mulchfest brings communities together through a shared love for the environment and sustainability. The wood chips will help nourish trees around the city.
