Early voting is underway in New York City ahead of the Nov. 3 election, with Mayor Zohran Mamdani among the first voters to cast a ballot Saturday morning.

Mamdani voted shortly after polls opened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, encouraging New Yorkers to take part in the election process.

"That's what all New York is gonna have the experience of," he said after casting his ballot.

Early voting continues through Nov. 1 across the region. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
