The bitter cold is creating heavy ice on the Hudson River, impacting the ferry into the city for commuters.

Commuters are scrambling as some NY Waterway routes have delays or have been canceled all together.

On Tuesday morning, Edgewater had bus service only and brought customers to Port Imperial.

By Tuesday night, all NY Waterway routes had modified schedules due to the icy river, but they were running.

With freezing temperatures excepted all week, expect delays on a daily basis.
