Greenwich police arrested a man in his Norwalk home following a report of a domestic dispute involving a gunshot fired.
Upon arrival on the scene, police located a large, brown pitbull suffering from a gunshot wound and began to stabilize the dog on the scene.
Jeffrey Vigil is accused of shooting the dog after the dog had allegedly bit him on the leg.
Vigil was apprehended in his vehicle by the Greenwich Police Department, and the dog was transported to CA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, where it was later reported to be in stable condition.
Vigil faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal violation of a restraining order and disorderly conduct with a bond of $150,000.
