A Norwalk police officer turns himself in after being charged in a deadly off-duty crash.
The Connecticut State Police said Sgt. Shannon Sherry was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain proper lane.
The accident happened last April on I-84 in Southington.
A man from New Britain was killed after Sherry's car crossed three lanes and struck the man's pickup truck.
Police said Sherry was cooperative during the investigation.
Officials said there will be an internal affairs probe.
Sherry is on administrative leave, according to the Norwalk Police.
