The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s Mobile Unit will be in Teaneck on Tuesday, Oct. 6, giving residents access to several MVC services - without having to visit a permanent agency.
The mobile unit will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Votee Park Fieldhouse on Palisade Avenue.
Appointments will open Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. through the NJ MVC Mobile Unit online scheduling system.
Services available by appointment include:
REAL ID
- Registration renewals
- Initial permits — no testing will be offered at the mobile unit
- Non-driver IDs
- Duplicate or replacement titles and registrations
Walk-ins will also be accepted for:
- Surrendering license plates
- Handicapped, veterans or Purple Heart placards
- Purchasing red GDL decals
Residents who need other MVC services should check with the agency beforehand to determine whether they are available at the mobile unit.
