Lisa Menken, of Lake Ronkonkoma, joins a growing list of Gallery Furniture customers who turned to News 12 after having trouble with their purchases from the Medford store.
In May 2023, Menken says she ordered a bed, couch, table and TV stand.
She says the couch and TV stand never came, and the mattress and table that were delivered were the wrong products.
"I'm not rich, $4,700 to me is a big deal," said Menken.
As News 12 has reported, a number of people claim their furniture either never arrived, was damaged, or took about a year to be delivered.
News 12 has now uncovered nearly 60 complaints with New York State and Suffolk County against the business since 2020.
The New York State Attorney General's Office says that they received 17 complaints against Gallery Furniture since 2021 and have referred the complaints to Suffolk County Consumer Affairs.
The Suffolk County executive's office said in a statement:
"The Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs has an active investigation into this matter. Additional hearings are scheduled for November 2025."
In documents News 12 obtained, Suffolk Consumer Affairs has 10 open complaints against Gallery Furniture that are under investigation.
Of the 48 complaints that have been closed, 21 were about failure to deliver and 12 were about failure to refund customers.
The owner of Gallery Furniture tells News 12 they offer customers loaner furniture until their orders arrive and are doing everything they can to reduce delivery delays.
