A new Barbie doll is paying tribute to one of New Jersey's most celebrated music legends.
Mattel has unveiled the Whitney Houston Barbie Signature Doll, inspired by the late singer's look in her "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" music video.
The doll features Houston's signature 1980s style, including a purple dress and iconic hairstyle.
Mattel says it worked with Pat Houston, Whitney Houston's sister-in-law, to help create the collectible doll.
Houston, a Newark native, remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
The Whitney Houston Barbie Signature Doll is available online and in stores for about $60.
