The mysterious drones seen flying around New Jersey may now have spawned a new tourist industry.
Jersey Shore Whale Watching Tours in Belmar launched its inaugural Drone Spotting Tour Thursday night.
The idea came after a captain said he saw what appeared to be lights flying over Island Beach State Park.

“Some were making approach like they do to go for [Fort] Dix. Others were hanging in a pattern about a mile, two miles off the beach and they were at different elevations…not moving, just staying there,” says Jersey Girl Capt. Charles Van Der Linde.
The tour lasted about two hours. Tickets were $50 and at least 20 people signed up to go.
