A New Jersey man accused of using a construction firm to scam a Uniondale homeowner out of thousands is facing grand larceny charges, according to authorities.

Police say the homeowner contacted North Falcon Construction Company for services in April 2024.

Zohyaib Farrukh then cashed the nearly $60,000 check under a fake name and never performed the work.

The victim notified police after making multiple failed attempts to contact him. He was later arrested on Nov. 22.

Farrukh is set to be arraigned Nov. 23 in Hempstead.

Detectives ask anyone who believes they may also be a victim to call local police or 911.
