FORECAST:
The dry weather continues across New Jersey where the wind begins to pick up as a passing front sneaks through the state overnight.
This front will drop temperatures for tomorrow, but it will create breezy conditions. Highs will be in the mid-60s and the gusts will be northerly between 10-25 mph.
Breezy conditions relax at night, but will pick up again for Friday from the northerly direction again. This north wind is a drying wind, too, so the humidity stays very low.
The threat for wildfires and the spread of them is enhanced and elevated through the weekend. Temperatures over the weekend will be more autumn-like.
Another front passes Saturday, but it is not strong enough to produce sprinkles or showers. It's likely not going to leave any measureable amount of rain.
The next 7-10 days continue to be dry. This will likely be the driest month ever on record for New Jersey as a rain-free month has never been recorded before. We are currently on 24 days. The longest stretch of dry weather is 26 days.
