The MTA says new fare gates are being installed as a pilot to the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center Station at the Fourth Avenue entrance.
News 12 crews observed caution tape closing off the entrance for repairs Tuesday evening.
It comes after an MTA announcement earlier this year, saying it plans to test different versions of the gates at stations across the city.

The MTA says by the end of 2029, 150 stations will have the gates.
