It was an emotional day of court for family members whose loved ones were in a deadly crash in Castle Hill a month ago.
Family members of Dorilys Ramos had a sense of grief.
Ramos was killed in a hit-and-run in November.
Dimas Cuadrado is accused of driving while intoxicated.
Police say Cuadrado had a blood alcohol level of .128 at the time of the crash.
Ramos, 27, was in the vehicle with her boyfriend.
The off-duty NYPD officer is recovering from his injuries.
His mother spoke to News 12 but didn't want to be identified.
"She will never be forgotten," she said.
Cuadrado's next court date is set for March 6.
