Town leaders in Clarkstown broke ground Tuesday on a new 10,000-square-foot all-inclusive playground at Lake Nanuet designed for children and families of all abilities.

The playground will feature accessible equipment and is the latest project in the town's ongoing effort to improve parks and recreational facilities throughout Clarkstown.

The new playground follows a series of upgrades completed in recent years, including new and renovated playgrounds at Congers Lake, West Nyack Hamlet Green, Councilman Mark Woods at Zukor Park and Central Nyack.

The town has also added new turf soccer, multipurpose, baseball and softball fields, pickleball courts, a community garden and other recreational improvements.
