        Avelo Air to begin flights from MacArthur Airport

        The airline will be making stops to in Charlotte and Wilmington in North Carolina and Lakeland and Orlando in Florida.

        Officials announced this morning that Avelo Air will begin flights from MacArthur Airport to North Carolina and Florida.
        The airline will be making stops to in Charlotte and Wilmington in North Carolina and Lakeland and Orlando in Florida.
        The new airline will give flyers some more options when traveling to and from Long Island.
        It’s the latest development at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma. As News 12 has reported, you can now fly Southwest from Islip to Iceland by way of Baltimore.
        JetBlue has announced more destinations for their customers, including flights to Boston and more trips to Fort Lauderdale.
        Breeze and Frontier airlines are also options for travelers.
        The state is also investing $150 million into an infrastructure project connecting a proposed new airport terminal to the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station with a pedestrian walkway.
