Homeowners in North Bay Shore tell News 12 there has been a string of car break-ins in the neighborhood.
Home security video shows someone trying to open the doors of Norma Mochalov's cars in her driveway.
"I see this young man trying to open our car doors and so that was pretty frightening," she said.
Mochalov says after someone ransacked her car earlier this year, she installed security cameras and makes sure her doors are locked. She says she called police the latest incident on Friday morning.
"Maybe like three months ago, they broke into my car and they stole a pouch of coins that I had, I don't know, maybe $50 worth," said Mochalov.
Mochalov is not the only one who's had her car broken into in the area. Neighbors on the block tell News 12 there have been multiple car break-ins over the last few months.
"They went in, they trashed my car, they emptied all the compartments, they took whatever loose change, whatever was worth anything," said Trish Graziano.
Graziano says she also saw someone trying to get into her neighbor's car across the street and heard complaints from homeowners on nearby blocks about car break-ins too.
