Two congressional races in Nassau County could determine the balance of power in the House of Representatives.
Republicans are hoping to hold on to Congressional District 4, a seat won by Rep. Anthony D'Esposito in 2022. Former Hempstead Town Supervisor Laura Gillen is looking to defeat the incumbent in a rematch from two years ago.
Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi is facing a challenge from Republican candidate Mike LiPetri. Suozzi won the seat for Congressional District 3 less than a year ago during a special election following former Rep. George Santos' removal from office.
